God @ the movies - Summer 2016

There’s nothing like watching a good movie,  caught up in the story on the edge of your seat, whether you like to escape with an action film, scare yourself with a thriller, or laugh at a comedy there’s something for everyone.  In this series we look at what some of these family films can tell us about God and life.


Sunday 28th August - Mulan

Mulan, This is the story of a Chinese girl who out of love takes her father's identity to go off to fight the invading Hun army. With the help of Mooshu (a small dragon), and Crickey (a lucky cricket) she is successful and receives the thanks of the Emperor, but will her father be proud of her and accept her return?


Sunday 21st August - Inside Out

A film about an 11 year old girl and her inner emotions of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust as personified animated characters.  It shows the conflict of emotions that we are all too familiar with. So how can we learn today to embrace all of the emotions that life brings?

Sunday 7th August - Paddington

A bear travels to London in the hope of finding a home,  but most just ignore him, however Mrs Brown shows him kindness and takes him in, and changes their family life!
